· THE MYCONAUT, FUN WITH A BUTTERY & NATURAL FEELING ·
The Myconaut takes the key characteristics of the Chris Fish and Nautilus to create an extra fun small wave package. Its subtle vee, that runs just through the whole board, adds that little rail square and just allows you to tip it. Lot of concave which lets you really getting it right over on the rail. That’s such a nice feeling down to lean over on the board.

Talking about quad’s in general, Tom Carroll, the surfing legend, sees them as an evolutionary sort of movement of the last single fin on the board, sort of splitting off. This helps that vortex that’s created of a twin fin, so with a quad extends the sweet spot. Whereas a twin fin, you kind of got it just concentrated in one spot.

There was no sort of craziness in the board, but it had all the drive and all the kind of fun aspects of a fish and it was pretty kind of free of the tail. I wasn’t getting caught.” –Tom Carrol

The line of the back, mixed in with the vee and the quad, helps you really hold. It will flow supernaturally, no fishy, slidy or twitchy feeling with this one; it will get locked in on a keel. Like the split keel; it will allow you to sort of be a lot freer on turns.

This board screams fun just looking at it for the first time. Once you get it in the water, just feels right. It disperses the foam in the right places and it feels just natural and buttery under your feet.
